    I just installed my ssd and I am getting this error, I am using my cd that came with the computer, what is the problem????

    it should be in AHCI mode by default when you receive it. are you sure you connected that little adaptor that goes onto the hdd?

    when you take out the original HDD there's a flat looking adaptor or interconnector. if that's not in place it won't detect the SSD.
