Cat 11.4 Mobility Early Preview Drivers

wow +150 in 3dmark11 thats huge. makes me wonder what i could of done with these in my M15x. dang it

 

Gives the rest of us a chance to close the gap a little on you. You'll love these, Inap. I wasn't even running high. Tested at 850/1075/1.05v and went from about P2753 +/- to P2899. Couldn't believe it after the last big jumps we made with the Hotfix set. Might get 3K when I crank it up, which is hard to believe for a 5850 without an extreme processor. You'll love these things in your new R3.

 

yeah i can't wait to get it, hopefully sometime next week. already order some new thermal pads and paste for it already too, prolly picking up another ssd tonight.

come on rev,slap that 920 in and make a run for the top spot already.

 

That 920 is probably inevitable. I have no shot at your top spot(s), but I can probably jump over a lot of other people. At least give me something to do while all of you guys are playing with your new high-powered R3's.

You going to Raid 0 the 160's?

 

I don't know. There is speculation that the WHQL 11.3's will be released as usual on March 23, the next scheduled release date, but the leak of the 11.4 previews this early is unprecedented, so who knows?

 

naw i just need more space, the speed is great already, was going to get a momentus xt as my secondary but the ssd was price just right for me.

all the waiting is killing me right now, hahaha

 

This will help. I just hit P3030 on the last 3D11 run. Have to walk it up slow from here.

 

wow 3k without xm chip. very nice. i barely broke 3k with the last drivers. really nice improvement.

man this couldn't of been the driver that could of done it for me, but now i will never know and dane would never let me forget.hahaha

 

Get him at the next level. LOL. You'll be churning out 4K+ runs with these drivers and the R3/6970.

 

2651 3dmark11 at 800/1000 (game level). Huge increase so far for me. Running again to see if I can make it a bit better. StevenX

Jeez, StevenX. You're making gargantuan leaps in 3dMark11. I believe something more than just these 11.4 drivers is in play, good as they are. Way to go. Ah, you didn't upgrade to the 11.1a Hotfix set as I recall. So you're getting the performance boosts from both sets jammed into one, which would account for the kinds of jumps you're seeing.

 

How you guy install this? When I try to install it there a error keep popping up.

 

Just unzipped the downloaded file into ati\support\11-4 . . . etc. and ran Setup.

 

I install the setup on top of my existing 11.2 and it work but if I do a clean install it won't work. Got it working now. Thank!

 

I'm pretty sure its important to completely remove all other versions of drivers before you install the new version.
