The nVidia GTX 460M is no more an option for the M15x, Check it on the Alienware site.

May be it is the beginning of the GTX 560M era ;)

Probably just an inventory thing. The 260m is still available. StevenX

Yeah, sometimes they get out of stock... on the Swiss site there's only the GT 240m and the 460m available... 5850 hasn't been available for a long time.

In New Zealand the 460M (1.5GB) was pulled and replaced with a 5850M (1GB), which is a down grade if you ask me.

The sales person I was dealing with said there will not be a Snady Bridge model for the M15x, and the M15x will become end of line soon, along with the M11x.

They said that their plans are from here, to have a 14", 17" and a 18" models only in the future.

Can only think this will be called M14x, M17x, and M18x.

The 560M is a rebranded 460M anyway. Kill the excitement.

Hopefully not, I find 17" and larger laptops much to big and anything under 15" to small. If they replace the M15x with the M14x they won't offer anything I'd want to buy... :(

Oh well, my laptop still needs its i7-640M and maybe a GPU upgrade when the 460M's come down in price...

Don't waste money on the i7-640M. It's a 9% speed increase, so spend that money on the 460M.
