a lot of drama happened, starting from the GTX 970M arrived at my place and finally upgraded to GTX 980M.

after more than 1 month waiting for the GTX 970M to finally arrive, this GPU is very easy to install, plag and play has nothing to modify and the performance is very good. unfortunately after I used it for 1 week GPU error and could no longer be used because of the chipset error, I finally asked for a warranty from the store, they promised to replace it but they don't have stock GTX 970M, only the new GTX 980M is available. and they can send it by express. with disability I have to add money.

4 days waiting for the GTX 980M to arrive, I hurriedly installed it and it turned out, it didn't match what was imagined. to install GTX 980M is not only plag and play. but we have to modify the file "nvdmi.inf" and I have spent 2 days but it didn't work.

therefore, I beg for help from my friends in this forum as fellow AW M15X fans, along with information from the HW ID and the original NVDMI file that I extracted directly from the NVIDIA driver. I hope there are friends in this group who can help.

    3. install the nvidia driver and finish successfully no error (399.24-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql)

but when i run the benchmark, i still get the msg " application has been block from accessing graphic hardware".

finally the problem that I experienced was finished, thanks to
    Danishblunt
who had remotely helped and shared knowledge about overclocking.

based on the information from him the problem came from the VBIOS that I used because this vbios gave too much power, after we decided to return it to the VBIOS stock everything returned to normal

for the record the error report from the system was :
"application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"
    the behavior
if you run game : after view second the screen went white or black
if you run 3Dmark : after initial finish start the benchmarks the screen complatly white after sometime its went error or frezee.

    Hello everyone.

I have recently installed a gtx970m into my AW m15x laptop. Unfortunately despite being able to install the latest drivers from nvidia (after editing the .inf file), I am having the following problem....

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ble-to-play-directx-11-games-with-gtx-970m/1/

Please check out the thread above, it will only take two minutes.

    I could use your help.

    Thanks in advance.

    - Hold Shift when restarting notebook
    - Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and click the Restart button.
    - When booting select F7 to disable driver signature enforcement
    - Download this file
    - Install as usual, if it asks you something then click "Install anyways".
    - Done.

Report back if it did the trick.

Right, same issue. Unable to run directX 11 games such as Prepar3d and my Uningine Superposition score on 1080p Extreme is about 1300, which is low for a 6GB gtx970m.
Still unable to run 3d Mark, it collects information and then says 'Oops and error occurred'

Can you download teamviewer and give me your ID + password via private message?

That way I can check out your notebook and see if I can fix the problem.

All right! That would be great, it's just that I am at the airport right now, waiting on a flight. I'm travelling for work. I will be back on Monday evening around 2030UTC. Can I contact you on Tuesday? Is there any easy way for me to do that?

As I am new to this website, I have limited privileges and am unsure how I will able to contact you once I am back.

Please let me know what works best for you including what time, and again, thank you very much for offering to help.

I really appreciate it. Thanks again. See you next week.

Meanwhile are there any BIOS and/or VBIOS updates that I can run?

Dell, shows a A09 BIOS update for me on their website. I currently have a A08 installed.
Anything custom that you may recommend or have that will help?

Did you disable driver signature enforcement before trying to install the drivers? If not you need to otherwise it will fail to install.
