M15x AlienFX Themes!

i was wondering in the comand center what is up with the auption that says morph or maybe i didn tspell it right but i know the otehr 2 but i dont see the morph do anyting

I know that some Alien FX has to be worked on certain bios and command center version.

How do you check which version you have?

 

press F2 IN RESTART, for the BIOS

 

I have A07. Will other alien fx work on my laptop?

Hi guys, here is a theme i created. It supposed to be a straight theme, but the AlienFX timing somehow made it unique. It is actually nothing much but the timing screw up makes it nice. The motive, all purple light with red light move across the 4 zones, starting from right to left then left to right and vanish and start from right to left and left to right again. I was thinking it will go on, but some how it jumps some steps and some become red quicker and its a real mix up. However, there is still a pattern though. So far, i saw 4 patterns LOL. Try to change the red or the purple into a more distinct color to see what i mean. Let me know how it is. Keep staring at it and you can see the timing will go off. ^^ Enjoy.

I thought I'd say THANKS to everyone who posted their AlienFX themes for all of us to enjoy. I just finished downloading several of them and am looking forward to seeing how they look on my machine. I've enjoyed the lighting effects on my M15x but haven't taken the time to get very creative (read that: I'm too damn lazy to do it!).

I've been using the rainbow theme for sometime now and i think i will not change it in a log time. Its simply amazing.

 

Okay the MAIN theme is something random i made....
But i have added a ZUNE FX theme as well..so when you open your ZUNE music player it has a pulsating effect...
But the problem is when the Zune process is in background this pulsating effect stops...
SO whenever you are only listening to music put this theme on and have fun.. looks a little bit cool..
BTW I have made this using the same command center 2.5.54,so you can easily add more effects..if u want

 

With the release of Portal 2, I made a simple theme that enhances the single player effect

 

Is there anyone having trouble with Rainbow theme? Everytime I startup my computer, only keyboard's light is on. After login to Windows and AlienFX program turn green, everything will come back to normal

 

Has anybody else taken advantage of Wattos' app and made some profiles with that?
I'm liking this police one by xeroxide, but some more choices would be much appreciated!

I'm just wondering where do I go to paste the code I copied the code and saved it as a text file in note pad can I get a location of where I can open it using, the Alienware Command center? Or do I just save that file as an .ath file?

I just got my M15X yesterday and have been blown away by it so far. I just stumbled upon these themes and am having a blast. Is there anyway to make all the zones pulse but really slowly like its breathing or something?

 

well yes kinda can, see if you can follow this(and i dont know if all zone will work as some can be a pain to work with). You should be fairly familiar with command center by now since you have been playing with it, and hopefully you took the tutorial too. here goes at command center at the top left corner of the screen there is the enable advanced settings, go ahead and click on that box. New setting at the bottom will pop up with events(+/-), zones, and actions (+/-). what u want to do is select one of the keyboard zones or the speakers, now click next to action the (-) sign this will erase the lighting setting. Now click on (+), this brings up the color chart click on morph(not pulse cause thats to fast) now on the center of the color chart the circle will be divided in half, choose a color and you will see the one side switch to that color now click on the other half of the circle and choose black, now click ok. click (+) again and do the same thing only the colors in reverse(black first and then your color) click ok and on the zone you just modded click on loop to have that modded on a loop. click apply and see if you like it, if you do than do the same with the other zones.

my problem with it is that it cycles thru a couple of colors to get to black.....

 

I pretty much figured the whole theme thing last night while I was flying back home. Thanks!

 

Love the rainbow theme, my cats are entranced which is probably not a good thing

hi everyone

i have maybe a strange question to ask... but I have lost all settings (long story) for my M15X and I'm in a very slow process of restoring these. My AlienFX DVD is lost... anyone could share a copy or point me where to download it? DELL site is useless... Trying to get it back with my Alien Respawn but might not succeed... Thoughts?

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for the themes! I was wonderign if anyone has any of the "original" Alienware themes? For example, my M15x shipped with 'Astral Blue,' which is the color my lights default to upon restore. If memory serves, there were several options like 'Plasma Purple,' and something 'Red', etc.... Are any of these classic themes available for download? Thanks!

Just set all the lights to one color and save.

 

Loving Freakout's rainbow theme! I tried to make one with a purple base and a travelling band of red but the colours were too close for it to work properly.
Purple and yellow??? Will post if it looks nice
