    Hi Fatboy,

Well everything under 300 euros would work for me. I was planing on buying a new laptop so my budget is quite good. That being said, I would definetely like to spend less than 300 for everything left to buy (GPU, Ram, various usb and wifi cards).

Depending on the GPU, I will need to change my PSU as well. That is why the firepro m6000 was quite interesting on that aspect.

Thanks Fatboy,, that looks good indeed.
I have read a few reviews on it and people say it is quite similar to a 7970m.

Do you think I should upgrade to a 180/210 PSU if I combine a i7 920xm with that or will my 150W be enough ?

I am looking at Ram as well right now but I don't know if I should rather take 1x8go or 2x4go. Is there a big different ?

You should upgrade to at least the 210W power adapter with that combo. You will also want to get a right angle adapter and pull the center pin when using the bigger power adapter on the M15X.

You should also go with 2x4GB or 2x8GB RAM so they will work in dual channel mode.

    Hi King,

The problem is that I am going in Asia for work starting from the 1st of January. So Lausanne is not that close anymore !
To be honest, I will take the option that is available the ealiest I think.

I was thinking about taking 2x8go Ram DDR3 CL9 1333MHz. What do you guys think about this option ?

The BIOS will not see 16GB of RAM but Windows will see it and use it.

Thank kosti, I read that already in these pages. I would like to know if the frequency matters ? 1333 or 1600 ? Or is it just about price.

The M15X supports up to 1333 so anything higher will still run at 1333.

That will work. But on e-bay you can find it cheaper. I ordered from this seller.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/301818103746?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

What kind of card do you have currently in your M15X. I ask because it does not appear that the card from e-bay has an x-bracket included, but depending on your current card you may be able to use the x-bracket you already have.

Max speed on the ram is 1333mhz. Max amount is 16GB unless some brave soul tests out 16GB sodimms if they even exist.

However if you get CL9 1600mhz ram it will run at CL8 in the M15x.

Can anyone tell me how I alter voltage on 680M? I have nvidia inspector but voltage offset is greyed out.
EDIT: I guess flash another vbios with different voltage?
