The small rubbers on the palm rest place is very easy to loose. Any idea how to make it better?
-
Super glue.
-
I super glued it
-
well i lost mine, came home from school one day and noticed they were gone...
-
I lost once and asked for the replacement. Guess what? They sent a new palm rest
-
I've lost mine thrice, getting replacements everytime. (Dell service is pretty damn awesome) The last time was like a month ago and I superglued them.
-
Superglue usually works best!
-
They sent me a tech to replace the palmrest..
-
I take it you all had that advanced warranty than?
-
I took them off my self the first day I got the laptop. Anyone who tells you that it warps the screen is crazy.
-
Just call Dell, they'll hit you up with a new palm rest.
-
I posted something about this earlier in the week.
Rubber bumper came off, called Dell. Subsequently found the bumper and used araldite to glue both of them in more securely. Replacement panel arrived and I'm going to save it for either the next time I loose a bumper or when I sell the laptop, to make it look like new again. -
thing is.. my warranty's already gone.. guess i'm stuck with it
-
how can i get those feet ordered to israel? i also need a new cpu fan, its making one hell of a noise.
-
maybe not warp the screen
but i know a few people here have had scratches on the monitor glass due to the keyboard pressing on the screen.
not having those rubber bits may increase your odds of getting this issue... -
Why would you do that?! Regardless of whether you think that they provide any sort of protection (which they do, and no, I'm not crazy - and neither is Dell for putting them there) the palmrest looks awful with the white plastic revealed beneath.
-
On mine I cut the white plastic out, so whatever color the front grills are shines through the holes, it looks awesome.
