hi guys,
i want to buy SSD for my system but not sure what will fit,
Samsung MMCRE28GFMXP-MVB Samsung 128gb 1.8-inch Mlc Ssd Sata Thin Caseless Hard Drive Mmc New
i foudn this was wondering will that fit our laptop?
-
No you need a 2.5 inch one for the Caddy to be able to hold it properly.
-
hey thansk for reply, any 2.5 will do?
-
Pretty much, but do your research on the best ssd for your money though. As long as it is 2.5 then it is all good.
-
i think any SSD is better then what i have now, i think my current HDD is dying, keep getting boot up error even though i format and reinstall OS
-
I second this. There are tons of SSDs out there, and not all are created equal. You also want to look for any reliability issues, etc.

In that same thought, (reliability) Ive found this link useful:
SSD-Reviews.com - SSD Reviews and Comparison Chart
And after talking to several 'Micro-Center' (knowledgeable retail) people I am leaning toward OCZ Vertex2.
Hope it helps. -hubs- -
edit: nvm sorry
-
i was gonna go with the ocz vertex2, however they pulled a funny with their model names. (there's 2 versions of vertex 2 and the older one is faster apparently).
in the end i got a corsair force 120, not too shabby at all. i heard that all the new sandforce based drives perform relatively the same.
SSD will this fit?
