    Always used Arctic Silver 5.... It's 2015, obv using the same stuff since I fell off my dinosaur. I know a lot of guys are IC Diamond guys here but I can't find the stuff to save my life, and anyone that has it want's RETARDED amount of money for it (40-60 dollars? Uh no), alternatives?

    Not dealt a lot with thermal compounds myself and i might be mis guiding you but clearly shows ic diamon as a lot less.

    Now that is reasonable. I notice it's only the IC Diamond 7, where I seen IC Diamon 24 mentioned, the 24 labeled ones I've only seen sold by two or three eBay sellers that ship Canada side want $30 US + shipping (in short $60 Canadian LOL).

    If the differences between 7 and 24 are negligent than perfect.

    7 and 24 are the same... 24 comes in a bigger tube and hence more expensive.. 7 will be enough for 5-6 repastes,..

    ^^This :) You need a 7 tube. IC Diamond is a great quality compound. I used to use Arctic Silver all the time so I feel the same haha.

    Agreed.. I've never used AS5 but tried MX-4.. It was useless.. I went back to IC Diamond and even without proper thermal paste application (mine was not very proper), my load temps went down by 10C and I can OC more.. I love IC Diamond :)

    MX-4 is a lot more sensitive to heatsink design, some seem to make it pump.
