    What is the best way to overclock the ATI 5850?

    Ok so i download the AMD GPU clock tool and i did 700/1000 at 1.0v and was wondering if thats ok? Sry really new at this overcloaking thing. is that the best i can do with this program without killing it?

    You're not likely to kill a 5850M. :) When I was using the 5850M in my M15x (with a 920xm), I routinely overclocked it to 800/1100 for everyday use. For benchmarking, it could be further overclocked to at least 900/1200 and on occasion to 940-950/1250, depending on the testing app. Individual cards vary, but the 5850M generally has enormous o/c headroom, but will require increasing voltage once you go much above 800/1100.     You can definitely clock it higher than that, bump up the memory clock a little. I usually run mine at 750/1100.
