I read that this is the fastest SSD around. OCZ 240 GB Vertex 3 SATA III 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive MAX IOPS 6.0 Gb-s VTX3MI-25SAT3-240GB. Is anyone on this forum using one, will it work in a 15x?

I don't have experience with this drive, but it does have a standard SATA interface and is very likely to work. Be aware that the SATA port on the 15x is limited to 3GB/s - the drives are all backwards compatible, and it is likely to be able to work.
I've thought about SSD, but I needed the capacity and 500GB+ SSD's are still pretty pricey. The 500 GB Momentus XT works failrly well for now - I'm sure TB SSD's are on the horizon, and prices can only come down with time.

Joe I see your'e from the Philly area; I live in Lakewood, you ever been there?

your limited to sata 2 speeds in your M15x. so prolly best to get a cheaper sata 2 drive.

I have not been there. We live near King of Prussia (west of Philly), and I work in Princeton NJ. Are you in Lakewood NJ?
