I know, but I mean the options would definitely be limited because the chassis would only accept slot-load drives and usually when a new or faster optical drives come out, the tray-load version usually comes out first and the slot-load version, when out is usually more expensive.

Hey huey you should go back and edit your posts to reflect all those questions in one instead of 3 consecutive posts :) you can delete the post by clicking the EDIT button on the right . keeps down on the clutter .

E-Value codes are special deals or are those the prices for anyone?

$2749 is a great price considering it's got the Q9000 and the 1920x1200 screen.

I'd rep ya if I could Quad but it's on cooldown. ;)

Way better pricing then i thought it would be honestly , this also confirms there is the Wxga option as well, now i wonder if it will be edge to edge as well or just a bordered screen. i dont want EDGE to EDGE at all .

Well I'm ordering one 10:00 AM EST tomorrow then. :)

Not with the Q9000 but I'll consider buying the CPU from them after I see what their other offerings are. I was already expecting to pay around $3000 for the SLI 280Ms and the base P8600 so now I got some playing room.

Ok, so this is what I'm looking at for mine...

    Processors
    - Intel® Core™2 T9550 2.66GHz (6MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

    RAM
    - 4GB 1333mhz DDR3 RAM

    Graphics Cards
    - Nvidia GTX 280M with 1GB dedicated memory

    Storage
    Hard Drive:
    - 320GB 7,200RPM (16MB Cache) w/ Free Fall Protection

    LCD Panel
    - 17-inch Widescreen WUXGA 1920 x 1200 with Edge-To-Edge glass panel

    Keyboard and Touchpad
    - Full Size Illuminated Keyboard with Separate Numeric Keypad

How does that look? Any suggestions?

And could anyone 'guestimate' how much that might run me?

You can't choose the SINGLE GTX 280m option... I guess that means they're not offering it... Is a single GTX 260m enough? =(

go with the dual 280s its much cheaper than we expected :D
just checked, when you make the same configuration with both sites, it costs the same so don't get the better cpu if you don't need to cause there is no extra discount
