wha....what do you mean?
I was planning on getting the silver :<
-
well i sure hope it isn't polished.. imagine the fingerprints.
-
The lunar silver model isn't polished and shiny. It has a natural silver finish.
Hopefully the shipping units are polished like at the build site.
Might want to give A.W. a call to find out. -
You could use it as your mirror for shaving in the morning.
I think the way it's displayed on Dell's website it almost looks polished. -
Don't always go by Dell's marketing photos!
Everything looks nicer on Dell's site than up close and personal.
Me, I like the matte finish - looks more industrial -
-
I really like how you can set different lighting for the touchpad, keyboard, and touch controls.
At Christmas can go for a flashing Green + Red combo and put it in your window as Holiday lights. ;þ -
Blah, we need our friends at E3 to inform us the finish differences between the two xD
-
well well well ...
I just found out that them alienware m17x are a selling in Singapore at over SGD$7000++ ???!!!???
damn do them alienware hardware actually cost so much ??? -
you guys do know that the M17x has three different keyboard lighting zones, right?
-
I like the black exterior anyway. Add some lazer etching or engraving and it would look great.
-
A lot of the pics I see of the black model show some serious molestation by greasy hands. -
-
so how much are you guys paying for your m17x configurations ?
how does a top system look like ?
I did some config over at the alienware singapore site and it was like almost SGD $7000 ?
I was wondering how come it is so expensive there ?
-
-
I dont see them being able to sell too much over in Sg with prices like these ...
-
-
-
-
add in a dual GTX280m
and
add in the quad extreme
and it goes up exponentially !?
-
-
That's with 8 Gigs memory, QX9300, WUXGA, dual 256 SSD's and a 4 yr warranty, dual 280's. Vista Ultimate etc. -
-
What's the specs of your base config? Is it like the U.K. where you get Q9000 base? -
-
Mine costs 3704.94 after tax and next shipping is added, fully loaded except on the hard drive and the ram, 4 gigs of 1333mhz ram and a 250gb 7200rpm hard drive.
-
-
-
and with what kind of a config ?
-
-
how come them SGians get to pay so much more ?!
take 1000 ... add in a few dollars more ... and i can get a 725 from msi ... with a 4850 and a quad ...
pushing crysis at almost 30 fps too ...
-
-
is that over in the US ?
-
Edit: Never mind that also includes the 4% DPA. -
-
-
Whats the difference between FSB & QPI? is it really significant? What if you OC the FSB..
comparing this motherboard to the caleplla, which is why im asking. -
-
they were almost as bad ...
-
Anyone notice the T9600(2.80GHz,1066MHz FSB,6MB L2 Cache) and the T9800 (2.93GHz,1066MHz FSB,6MB L2 Cache) are both an aditional £179.99 on the UK dell site. I know it isnt a massive performace increase, but for free, it sure is worth it lol.
Or did i miss something? -
I didn't know where to ask this but, the Alienware m17x ship date from now is about the 1st of July, and I really need it to be here with me before the 18th of June cuz I'm going away for summer, isn't there anyway to make them rush on my order ? thanks in advance.

I thought a setup like this would cost almost 4000+ even in the US ?
