Could you chose the light colour for individual Keys? Lets say W, A, S, & D

Would be pretty cool if you could have everything in like green and the gaming keys in red or something :)

I wish that were the it, or put all lights off except the WASD keys but unfortunately not. You can only operate the individual lighting zones as specified by Alienware, independent of one another.

    Hmm ... sound´s nice ;)

But I´m not sure, if every key has got his own light?! But if they have own lights, should be via software possible, but who is going to program one ... :)

Well I'm note sure I don't own a 15x but I want to get one. From the keyboard pics it looks as though there are individually lighted... I mean I guess if some looked at their keyboard in the dark and so difference parts of the keyboard light or dimmer than another part would suggest that there is many LEDs under the keyboard and not individually lighted :)

markus.kainer: Read your overcloking guide very impressive good work ;)

    Try this:
Take some cellophane paper, of any color that you like. Its almost transparent ya. Take some really light adhesive like the one on the sticky notes and paste your cut out cellophane onto the WASD keys, the arrow keys and wtv other keys that you want. Set your Alien FX to the WHITE color. So the keys where you stuck the cellophane turns to that color, others remaining white...maybe a bit uncomfortable to play with? But what the heck...i bet itl look cool in a LAN party..

    Cheers,
    Yemo

They are not individual lights. Its a light strip underneat the whole keyboard.

Probably some type of electroluminescent layer or something similar. perhaps a light spreader and LED strips? though, that would take up more space...

If you want, the keys on the keyboard are Easily popped off... you could just coat the underside with some type of coloring, thus, making those keys a different color.

Though, if you coated them red, and used a blue backlight on your keyboard... it might turn purple. lol.

Tolkannn, with all due respect to your creativity..do you really wanna void your warranty? Just for gaming keys..i mean do you really look at the keys when your gaming...umm i would think not atleast i dont. But if you dont care about your warranty..go ahead give it a shot and do upload pics!

Fair enough.. Well I'll think about it and get back to you.. I mean I'll be exporting it to North Cyprus and unrecognized country so I don't even know if the UKs warranty would cover me...

Another AlienFX question. How do I get it to cycle between the entire colourset in AlienFX Advanced? I can only get it to cycle between 2 colours.

I was about to suggest colouring the underside of the keys lol. That's what happens when you go away for a week.

the tutorial should teach you everything. basically if you want to cycle between more colors you go to the plus button and add more colors. lets say you have 2 colors blue and red cycling. press the plus button and make that cycle red and white. new you have blue to red to white. keep adding as you please.
