My M15X lappie just came yesterday. initial tests with the bundled PORTAL game from Valve seems to run OK at first, but after installing TF2, Left4Dead and Left4Dead2, the system seems to be doing a real bad job at maintaining a stable FPS. I'm only getting about 15-20 FPS's on the said games, and that's not a good sign right there ._.

Now i'm trying to restore it back to factory defaults, and just testing if it works
    =/

any suggestions on what i should do with this system?

make sure that stealth mode is not turned on -- that's been an issue for many others when first testing their laptop

That seems really low to me. I was getting 50 to 90 fps in L4D2 maxed out with 2xMSAA. This is after a fresh install of Windows 7 and latest drivers from Nvidia website.

I don't think the stealth mode is on,no. But after running the diagnostics on the boot menu as instructed by the Dell tech support, I ran into an error code 2000-0322 which then freezes the whole system while making suggestive bleeps as if it's auditioning for American idol.

    MSG: Error code 2000-0322
MSG: LCD panel - unable to modify brightness
The given error code and messagE can be used by Technical Support to help diagnose the problem.
Do you want to continue testing?

    Yes or No or Retry

in which I can't input anything now. Froze

I'm not sure which architecture to install in =/

The pre-installed applications should be on the restore CD. IMHO, they are pretty worthless. I installed Windows 7 Premium 64bit which came with the Laptop. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I didn't install a driver for bluetooth. I wasn't concerned with it, so I didn't do it. The funny thing is, all devices were accounted for in the device manager.
