Uh, i think my battery was tampered with when it was sent for warranty last week. Before, the 9-cell battery was fine when you press that button to check the battery levels. Now, it's like they used their nails to poke the little and it doesnt seem to respond now. =/
Do they have any 1-1 exchange policy for batteries? this one's bought from dell. Also, can someone provide a pic of their M15X Alienware keyboard lighted up so i can compare? I think mine's a little on the dim side on the spacebar.

I think you can exchange it if it doesnt work properly. Try calling tech support tomorrow
-
D'oh. Damned Dell ain't open on saturdays. Guess I'll email them first then call them on Monday. Thanks for the help InappropriateName_3

Ya my spacebar isnt the brgihtest either, cant put a pic but that seems about the same as mine
-
Alright, thanks for the info. So, now i'll just need to rant to dell about the crappy battery
-
if dell tech support gave you a hard time, try calling customer support. they are sometime easier to deal with but just make sure to contact tech support first to get your case logged in to their systems.

I didn't notice how many people are having issues with the AW battery, the Dell dude was carrying a baggie with about 3 A00 batteries and some other boxes of the same sizes (I wasn't sure about the others but the first three i saw A00 on it).

The battery should be coverd under the same warranty as the system itself
they should send a new battery or a refubished battery out you with a return label for the old one
