every time i try to switch off crossfire while using these drivers, the screen eventually goes blank (but backlit). ctrl alt del, nothing works.

holding down the power button to turn it off seems to be the only option. after that, when booting back up, the system goes right back to a black screen after the starting windows animation disappears.

the only solution I've found for this is to boot into safe mode and remove the drivers.

works fine for me, same driver - 10.3...
i just disabled it, the screen became black for 10 seconds more or less, and then the image came back, verified in CCC that the crossfire was disabled.
Then i re-enabled it without problems..
guess it's something on your end bro

You seem to be having a lot of issues with 10.3. To be honest I think you should just do a clean install even though it is a big hassle.

Just like mfractal mine goes blank for a couple sec's and then turns back on.

I'd agree if this wasn't my fifth clean install. I may be complaining for new gpu's soon.

I'll probably be joining you. The time it took to get 10.3 Installed on my comp was painful. (5 Clean Installs. And it still wouldn't install them correctly) I have them working now. But I'm using Dell's Old version of CCC. Not sure if there is anything different with the 2010 version.

are you using amd's mobility version of the 10.3 drivers? (not mobility modding)

go to amd.com and on the right side, choose graphics, windows 7 64, *mobility* radeon (4th from the bottom) and then hd 4000 series.

these drivers should install on a fresh copy of windows 7 x64 without a problem. no need to mobility mod them or anything.

and don't install dell's drivers first. the general wisdom a while ago was to install dell's drivers before install 9.12 mobility modded in order to get crossfire working.

crossfire works with 10.3 without installing dell's drivers first.

I tried that...like 5 times and they refused to Install CCC. (Im Stuck on Dells CCC atm. But Updating the Drivers through Device Manager)

Edit; I just tried it again with the 10.5..Still did the same thing.

Does it work fine if you hit OK after unchecking Enable Crossfire instead of Apply?

I just found that it doesn't go black permanently if i hit Apply, but it does if i hit OK.
