is the upgrade worth $200? Is there a whole lot of difference when it comes to gaming?

    its all personal.
i prefer the 1200 for more real estate. i have the 1200 on my m15x and would not go for anything less.
lower rez will allow games to run better (from postings here at NBR) at the native rez of the 720 vice the 1200, but with the GPU's now available in notebooks (i.e. AW) there is not a reason to forgoe the higher rez.

1440 x 900 is more future proof if you want to play on native resolution, but at 1920 x 1200 everything is MUCH more crisp and you do get much more real estate to work with.

with 1920 x 1200 you really have no need to enable AA since everything is crisp enough.

    1920x1200

I am never getting less than this again. The difference in screen real estate is HUGE

yeah go with the 1920x1200. If you ever needed a lower resolution, just change it in the nvidia control panel and have it also scale it as if it were your native resolution (will use black bars make it look smaller, but it should blend in nice with the E2E display, and although it will make the screen smaller, it will look nicer than having a lower resolution stretch to fit the 1920x1200 display).

Blu-Ray is a good reason for the higher rez also.

Love my 19x12. But I'm not a stikler for native rez in general - I just like having the space, and the display looks great.
