I read somewhere that 1920x1200 is the only 16:10 res. that the M17 supports. I would however like 1440x900 in games, so as ATI updated their drivers to support this res.?
I would run E-Wreck's mod, but as much as possible, I don't wanna do any sort of mod on a device that will cost me $2,900. Not to mention mod it right out of the box.

E-wrecked's mod won't do any kind of damage, there's no risk involved - only better performance
oh and the drivers should definitely support 1440x900 as well. -
Have you done it [E-Wrecked's driver mod] yourself?
-
Drivers are not modded the way you think. So it cant harm your computer in any way. The only difference with those drivers is that you can play games in other resolutions and not only in the native one.
-
I am using it in 1440.

i have e's mod and it works great
-
and i only have 1440
-
installing drivers isnt really considered a mod. Its perfectly safe to install new drivers. Just think of it as updating to better drivers.
Since i have an M15x, i use Dox's modded drivers and its been working great for me. -
The 1440 is my native. -
I've read that the 1920x1200 "can't" do 1440. Stupid ATI drivers. -
You can change the resolution to 1400x1050 with the modded drivers which to be honest doesnt look that bad at all.
1440x900 on M17?
