    15.4inch to 16.1 screen on Area 51 766???

    :confused: :confused: Has anyone put a 16.1 LCD on a Model 766 that came with a 15.4 inch screen. Does anyone know what needs to be changed? I tried putting the 16.1 on complete with inverter and cable that came with it and the computer starts up but the LCD doesn't come on. It has the 5700 video card installed. Any help would be good, Thanks

    I don't think there were any beep codes except the usual ones on start up. I will check again and verify what its doing. My question is, should this combination work. I had a factory built 766 in 2004 with 5700 video card and the 16.1 inch LCD and it worked great until it was stolen by someone who thought they needed more than me. Where can I get a list of the beep code meanings?
