16628 at 3.19ghz, im sure i can hit 17k with some better driver.
-
ooooh... E-wrecked, the gauntlet has been thrown...
-
Posting that link doesn't show your score for me.
-
on the far right it does
-
until the new bios is released, i cant go any higher without getting BSOD. even with set FSB. voltage is to high and i crash. i know this rig will hit 17k.,,
-
Maybe M17 stands for 17k
Congrats for the result, mine can't achieve even the last digit
-
Congrats to you!
-
very sweet!!!
-
cant wait until the 4870's...
-
I'm not really experienced with 3DMark scores but doesn't display resolution effect the score? You're score says you're running 1280x720 instead of 1280x1024.
-
16:10 aspect ratio
-
But E-Wrecked has been doing his at 1280 by 1024
.
So you can't compare the two. -
-
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
Yeah, 1280x1024 is the standard. I was excited too.
-
Axman, do you have the WUXGA screen, allowing you to run the test at 1280x1024? If not your scores will never be counted in the e-peen arena. -
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
He can run on an external monitor for e-peen. I must say it's pretty insane what kind of OC that QX9300 is achieving. I go from 3.06Ghz to 3.33Ghz and sometimes I BSOD. I'm running the ES X9100 though.
-
And E-Wrecked has been using Vista 64 bit, and the OP Windows 7
Everything has to be the same to really compare. -
he had me fooled till i took a closer look.
yeah, that res ain't gonna fly 1280x1024 and up.... -
well i cant run 1280x1024 if my monitor doesnt do it. ill try and get an external that does.
-
well my TV wont go to any higher than 1024x768 when i hook up to it. So looks like im out of luck. on the tests. I can run at 1400x900 and that's about it on this display. So until i can get the "Proper" resolution, i have nothing to compare to.
-
What do you get for 1440x900?
-
around 16k. My friend has a new monitor he got so im gonna go over there later and try and see if it supports 1280x1024. But i guess as far as 1280x720 i may have the highest score. not sure. As far as the Windows things goes. The drivers that E made are better than the ones that come with 7. I will reinstalled vista 64 on my 160 hdd later when i feel up to it.
-
1440x900 slightly has more pixels than 1280x1024
-
Yeah. I'll have to do some runs again @ 1400x900 and post them.
-
not knocking your 1280x720 score at all... sorry if it sounded like i was.
-
i understand. that's just my best default score.. im sure i could upgrade my monitor to the 1900x1200 but i dont think i want to spend that much right now.
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
congrats guy this is still a feat though !
-
very nice score regardless.. here's a comparison with an x9100 @ same res - also OC'd nicely.

Your CPU score beats me a good bit.. but like any other quad core, my sm2.0 and 3.0 make up for it -
Here is at 1400x900-- 16027 all other specs are the same as other benchmark.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=9675201 -
if i could get my 2 and 3.0 scores as high as yours e i would be over 17k
-
there are ways to do so.. unfortunately your CPU is taking up too much of the processing for the GPU oriented tasks for 2.0 and 3.0 - You'll need to toy with the cores..try using different affinities. For example, set 3dmark to only use core 3 & 4..try a run.. then 2 & 3, etc. It's a game of trial and error. Oh, I also OC'd my GPUs on that run.
-
awwww, not fair. lol. You using the drivers you made for that run? i was thinking of OCing my gpu's but not sure on how safe it is, and weather or not i can do it in 7.
-
you can..but you gotta use 8.10 or earlier. Newer drivers won't work. I ran using 8.10 w/ GPU OC. Hopefully 9.1 brings back overclocking
-
gonna have to do it with vista then. i try to backdate drivers in 7 but it just rolls them back to the ones that come with 7
-
disable automatic updating.
-
Is Beta Win 7 worth it for those of you with the M17 running with Vista 64 Ultimate?
-
It's worth toying with.. can't hurt
I enjoy it, seems stable..quick, and an overall good feel to the OS. Check it out.
-
I cant wait until the full version is released.

Weird.. how come you got the same points as your previous test on a lower resolution.
The higher resolution should have dropped off a few hundred points. -
these ati cards do very well in 3dmark. but i am curious as well there should have been some drop off
-
i used the older ati drivers that alienware gave with the computer. they are not E's drivers. ANd i oc'd the GPUs. 3dmark vantage will not work because my computer does not support the required resolution.
-
hey, how's it going Z. how goes things.
