No time to test them tonight will give it a try in the morning.
If anyone tests them can you post your outcomes.

Still no x64 version =/

Funny, I've been testing it for the past few hours. I'm getting some crazy insane performance gains for UT3, about 8-10 fps gain over 169.61. The issue is that I can't run Crysis on High mode any more.
I just added it to the m9750 Driver Download Thread -
Yay. I'm downloading these right now. I'll see how they are.
-
Cool, let us know how i goes. I feel like I'm going crazy with amount of a gain I'm getting.
-
Awsome I will have to give these a whirl. Does dv work. I love dv the colors seem so vibrant with. I hate a dull looking notebook.
EDIT: Gave these a try only scored 8743 in 3dmark6 and was getting only 15-18 fps in crysis.
Will try the long driver cleaner process and retest. -
I got a 50 point increase on my 3dmark06 score, but I did notice a drop in crysis. Not a big deal I stopped playing it about a month ago, dumb game.
My main focus was UT3, that seems to be the main complaint lately. There a major lack of performance it seems. -
Anyone with an M15x test these drivers yet. They seem to not work so well for myslef.
-
they sound awesome on my AW, as eightd mentioned , great UT3 performance
, btw which server are you playing at XD, also cant wait for tweakforce to make a driver with those
ill get at least 5 FPS more ^^
-
I pretty much join the first server I can find with the lowest ping.
-
Anyone test on a m15x besides me. I get terrible performnce myself with these. Just wondering if I did something wrong.
-
Newfiejudd, Are you running vista SP1? The driver only seems to get a performance boost with SP1.
-
I'm running these with Vista Home Premium-32 bit with Service Pack 1 and they are great.
By the way, I have an m5550 with 256MB Geforce Go 7600. Hope this helps.
Make sure after uninstalling the old drivers to run "drivercleaner" to remove any leftovers which can mess up the new driver installation. I usually reboot twice after uninstalling the old drivers and running "drivercleaner" to get rid of all the old junk. -
Yeah tried the driver cleaner trick sill no dice. Running SP1 aswell. Still only getting 8700 in 3dMArk06. With the shipped 167.55 I score 10177 3dmark06 LMAO..Big drop and Crysis RUNS like crap DX9 or DX10 only 16-20 FPS at best.
-
Did you try going into the Nvidia Control Panel and setting it on Performance?

Sager owners are reporting that using any other driver than the stock ones with the 8800M-GTX at the moment halves the 3D performance; I'd advise sticking with the stock drivers.
-
@Newfiejudd - I'm sure that is the Alienware test that they did on your laptop. Take every test that they ran on your laptop with a grain of salt. They probably ran 3Dmark06 on 1024x768 to get those results.
-
Nope those are my Test. And I can do it over and over again. When I try and add them to the ORB it gives me error code 19..
I have the files saved but Can't upload them. -
Oh damn nice then. Sorry I doubted you
Are the tests being run with everything standard?
-
yeah just the free test. I will look more closely next time and see what the RES is. never looked before.
No worries Stone I coudln't believe it myself so I had to do it a few times myself LMAO.
The M17x will be INSANE. -
i apologize too. That score is crazy.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The 173.65 drivers are not compatible with Vista. Myself and a few others have had problems when enabling SLi. When you enable SLi, you are no longer able to right click the desktop without windows explorer restarting.
Not recommended for M9750 users. -
I have the 173.65 drivers installed on Vista Ultimate and have seen an increase in performance. Shortly after I installed SP1 and the combo gave me excellent results so far.
My computer hasn't froze a single time during UT3 since the new driver install where it used to crash every 10-15 minutes. -
Im also using those drivers on my vista m9750 and they give me better performance then any other drivers. I can't rightclick my desktop but i can live with that, everything else seems to work fine. I've put a shortcut to Nvidia-cp on my desktop wich doesn't bug out so i have no need to rightclick my desktop
.
Game profiles also don't work since the changes i apply to them never remain saved after closing the cp so i just do everything i need to do on the global settings before i play each game(doesn't matter if you only play one game ofc). Global settings do remain saved for me. -
I just installed 173.80 (still testing), Right click works now. So far only tested UT3, there is a slight drop in performance.
Still have to test 3dMarks, Crysis, Doom 3 -
Ooh, keep us posted eightd!
-
Awsome Eightd I just noticed those this morning. Have some thigs to take care of but will give them a whirl when i get back.
-
well for the 10k points 3dmark dude, its possible cause 3dmark gives very high points for CPU which isnt important for gaming any how. its like a dude using a quadcore with 8800GTS, he will probable get 14kish
-
Bad News, I can't recommend 173.80. About 25 FPS drop in UT3. A slight drop in Crysis performance and a 82 point drop in 3dmark06 score.
But the Right click bug is fixed. -
For the 8700 cards 173.80 seems to have the same performance as 173.65 minus the bugs.
-
Cool, Let me know if you find anything. If not, I'll put it in the Download thread, recommended for 8700 users.
-
Of course it is the CPU that is giving the High scores. And in certain games the CPU does paly an important role in FPS.
And I am a person not a DUDE. I don't surf and I am not 10 years old.
173.65 Drivrs are released.
