I've got a 150w hp vbios which is directly identical to alienware's as it has g-sync, same display outputs etc. It should keep your temps down. Just overclock the core by +200MHz due to 1380mhz base clock to get alienware like performance.

I am using 190W vibios of 51M and overclock my GPU with +140MHz in core and +300MHz in Memory.
So I get a higher 3dmark score than original 150W vbios.
    TIME SPY 1.0 (10,739)

    FIRE STRIKE 1.1 (25,788)

But I want to try 180W vbios to decrease temp in-game and also try 200W to more score in 3dmark.
Your laptop is HP Omen 17-cb0002na so I think 150W is limit of the heatsink. But my heatsink can work with 190 or 200W.
What s max temp of your GPU when running fullmark?
