    I finaly got my m17x working properly, Crysis runs nice and smooth on the very high settings. I was wondering though. Did I hamstring myself a little bit by not getting the 2.8 extreme processor? Am I looseing out on performance in games? I used the money I saved by getting more RAM.

    Games tend to use more gpu power not Cpu power. Unless you are into Civlization 4 that use Caculations.

    thats true but doesnt all data that goes to the gpu go through the cpu first??
    correct me if im wrong :)

    yea but 90% of cpus can easily handle the information :D usually the GPU's bottle neck before the CPU
