After doing a clean install of Windows 7 the dual 260s in my M17x are running an average of 7 degrees C hotter at idle according to CPUID HWMonitor and my 3Dmark06 scores dropped by an average of 300 marks.

While running Vista I was using the out-of-the-box GPU drivers, now I am running driver version 186.64

Additionally, the area underneath my space bar seems to be significantly warmer after the 7 install...

What could account for these discrepancies?
