I have recently uprgaded my o/s to windows 7 and have everything working and installed but the only problem i seem to have is that when i go into cs4 it says that it is using the gforce 9400 for performance not the 260m. I have installed the windows 7 driver for the 260 and it installed fine.. I have not reinstalled any games yet but will do tomorrow and see if i get the same problem. I just thought I would ask if there is something I am overlooking as in an install i maybe have not done yet so that the laptop can distinguish which card to use and when.
I hope I have explained my predicament properly :/

thanks in advance for any help :)

You're probably in stealth mode. What does device manager show?

No I thought that, Device Manager shows 9400.
If I press the stealth mode button it says, Stealth Mode Access Detected Choose Yes To Enable Or No To Cancel. I have tried enabling it and then rebooting but still nothing. If I remember correctly prior to upgrading when it was running the 260m there was an icon in the tray showing two 'swoops' but they are not there either.

There is a way to toggle onboard graphics or GPU. I haven't yet figured this out, but my "sensitivity up" key on my mamba has figured it out. When I press this key, my comp asks if I want to enable BinaryGFX. Maybe you have this toggled somehow?

I was at work yesterday so couldn't spend much time trying to figure it out, but I'm going to try get it sorted today. If I do come up with a fix I'll post it here incase anyone else encounters the same problem.

    Thanks BatBoy :)
I just thought I would try FN+F7 as for some reason I hadn't tried it before and lo and behold it worked. I've been messing round with it for ages and it was as simple as that!

No worries. Yeah, FN+F7 will manually switch over. Its detailed in the second KB link I mentioned. Glad the issue is resolved.

does the M15x have this ability to use onboard? When I push fn+f7 I get a whole lot of nothing.
