I have an m9750 Alienware notebook and unfortunately my 30'' Samsung monitor cannot be displayed at its maximum 2650x1600 resolution. I have been told that this is because the video card (an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX) cannot support this resolution. Is this correct?

Can I upgrade my notebook to a video card that can support my monitor?

All suggestions are appreciated, thanks for the help in advance. :)

2650x1600 requires dual link DVI as I remember, reviewing a semi recent thread these models support dual link dvi:
    - Apple Macbook Pro's
    - Clevo's high-end notebooks (D901C, M570RU/TU, M860TU)
    - Dell M1730
    - Lenovo T61 with DVI docking station, I believe.

I don't believe your current notebook can be upgraded
