    Hi

I thought or I should say ... I am used to see the 3DMark06 score rising after the first run (after reboot) ... but with 9.1 and W7 ... the first run (after reboot) is the best ... I tryed 3 runs ... the score dropt every time around 40-70 ...

So I rebooted ... got neraly the same score as I got with the first run and than ... the score droped at the second run once again :(

    Have you had this too?

I only disabled all "Julian" Processes and restarted Explorer^^ no modifikations or ocing ...

    THX for youre infos/help
    Greetings
    Julian

What kind of temps are you getting on the GPU? It might be overheating.

Well sadly Vista's background progresses cant be stopped/paused (not all of them at least) and in some cases they do some cpu/ram usage along with some hdd activity.

So its not strange that your scores are not the same, might be just bad luck you see them get lower.

Hm it was realy warm ... but I have just the option to set a thermometer bind the back of the case and it showed 40 C° ...

But today I'll go outside and try it one more time ;) 5° inc! :p

    THX for this idea
    Greetings
    Julian

Edit: with which tool can I read the temps?

Doubt if its an overheating problem since fps drop from overheating usually make a bit difference and not only 40-70 3dmarks. Use HWMonitor if you want to check your temps. They should be around 80c ±5 under full load.

E-wercked used for this worldrecord the 8.10 which is listed in 3DMark06 as a "trusted" driver ... did he mobilebod it by himself or where cen I get it? As far as I know the CCC includes temps and fanspeed? Or only one of this?

    Greetings
    Julian

Edit: can HWMonitor run on W7

I think the feature for temp monitoring and fan speed in CCC is only restricted to Desktops.

Dont think E posted 8.10 anywhere in these forums but have to remember that although older drivers are better for benchmarking they are worst at gaming. Same goes for the newest 9.1 drivers. They perform worst in 3dmark than 8.12 but you see a nice fps boost in a few games.

So at the end it depends what you want to do, benchmark or play games ?

As for HWMonitor, not sure if it runs in W7 since i didnt install them yet, but since W7 seems compatible with a lot of things that can run in Vista i doubt there is going to be a problem with it.

I wouldn't hit the panic button if your score dropped by less than one percent...

You mean the "post thread" button? It's that it goes down every time I run 3DMark^^ That the score goes sometimes up dan down ceeps me cool but this was too mutch! :D

I'll dl HWMonitor and try to make a run outside of the house ;)

After I lost both os because of an "bios error" I only installed W7 again :) I used dualboot for araound 5 days and used Vista once xD

    Greetings
