Has anyone managed to get powerplay working. The clocks on mu old 3870's used to downclock with power saver option and then jump up when high performance was selected. Have noticed this is not the case with the 4850;s. Clocks just stay on max all the time. In turn leaving a fairly high idle temp of around 55-60.

well only 3 people here actually have the cards
do you have the newest CCC? -
Lol yeah thats a good point mate. Yeah newest one possible. Im thinking with it working should be able to have idle temps down to about low 50's high 40's
-
well its a driver issue and unless some one on here gets into it then it proabaly will never work because AW is the only one with these cards ...
can you give me a bios again ?
i wanna check something out real quick -
No probs mate. What you after. 4850 Master?
-
either one i want to see if the option is in the Vbios
-
Here you go mate. Let me know if you find anything.
-
not seeing it ?
-
Hmm wont let me attach it. Shall I email it to you
-
mediafire.com
or put it in a zip folder -
-
its in the BIOs..... who want to test overclocking VIA flashing
ill provide a bios to test with .... -
Ah thats interesting. Certainly not working though as the clocks dont change when selected between power saver and high performance
-
you don't wanna test my OC'd BIOS
-
Think I will pass on that for the moment
-
figured
-
So any ideas whats going on with powerplay then
-
overdrive isn't even in the BIOS so throw that out the window ... and they may not have fully coded power play into the Vbios
ill keep looking -
Cheers Moo much appreciated
