    Does it work?

    What frequency is it running?

    Is it stable?

    Does it viod the warranty?

    pls let me know!

No Intel laptop runs RAM at 800MHz unless it has a desktop processor.

Yes. That ram will work in your computer but, the motherboard only accepts ram speeds of 667mhz so, when you put that ram in your computer it will lower the speed from PC2-6400(800mhz) to PC2-5300(667mhz). Also the ram will not void your warranty if you tell alienware that you changed it. They will simply put it on record and that will be that. By the way in all honesty, dont even bother with this ram. If you want some great quality ram get this kind i got for my m9750.

Its great it comes with sleek black heatsinks which will draw the heat away from the ram. And G.skill is one of the best brands out there.

The only reason that you would need 800Mhz ram is if you want to overclock the FSB of your M9750.

I know this thread is practicly closed but, fyi even if the m9750's cpu was oveclock to an 800mhz fsb it still wouldn't run the ram at that speed. Because the motherboard on the m9750 wont allow for anything faster...ever.

    BLAM..........CASE CLOSED. :D

Actually Hoo the M9750's overclocking overclocks the FSB so EVERYTHING runs at a higher clock which I do believe would increase the RAM speed as well as the HD, GPU, CPU. There is an overclocking guide on here which I haven't tried because I don't want to mess with the FSB on my M9750.

Overclocking the FSB netted a .1 increase on my Vista RAM performance and a .2 increase on my processor performance. I believe Stone is correct in saying that the entire FSB is overclocked, not just the processor. Perhaps I should get some good quality RAM w/ heatsinks instead of the standard crappy AW ram.

Yea if you want to overclock the FSB I would suggest 800MHz ram as it will clock up to 800mhz which the ram already supports so it won't place stress on the RAM.
