    Hey,

Does anyone know of a 8800gtx mobile tuner? Or an application that would work to tune our gfx cards?
    Like to overclock it.
If I'm honest I'm slightly dissapointed with the speed. I can't even run Test Drive unlimited at full everything with fps of over 50 (with nvidia settings set to performance - if I set it too quality it drops to like 20)

    Cheers.

thats odd, i play the same game from time to time and get around 40 fps, definetly playable at maximum quality settings at 1440*900 resolution.

Okay, and your nvida settings are set to peformance or quality. If its set to quality it lags like ****

Okay one more thing. If I set nvida to "performance" and run 3dmark06 I get 10009. If I set it too quality I get 8943. Is this normal?

i have the 'let the 3D application decide' selected. Id recommend applying the same settings to your laptop, i get about 9500 - 10050 on 3dmark 06 with these settings. In the future it might be better to simply adjust the graphics in game, so try the setting which lets the 3D application decide and then run trackmania.

The score is a lot better than what I'm getting on XP. It should be normal that you're getting a lower score with the "quality" setting. The higher the quality, the slower it runs (obviously because it has to further render the image quality.)

Also, let me remind you that the stock drivers that Alienware has provided you has been known to cut your in-game performance by almost half of its potential. It may not say so on a 3DMark score, but you'll definitely feel it. Try updating your graphics driver.

I have, I have the latest driver (the one that "upgrades" it too 9800gt). And It's not trackmania, it's test drive unlimited.
Oh, so I just leave it too the application... Hmm it just looks **** compared to when I put it too quality :p

Anyway, are there any programs to overclock a laptop gpu/cpu?
