Ok was playing crysis this morning. got to paradise lost and my FPS whent to crap 2-3 somtimes 10 fps. (Playing in DX9 with everything on max)

Figured something might amiss here so I saved and opened GPUz to see if my temps where too high.

Temp was around 65, lower than usual. Then I noticed my GPu clocks all read ZERO for both memory and core.

I unistalled teh drievrs reinstalled and they sill read Zero. Figured myabe i was stuck in Binary mode. double checked and restarted twice to make sure I was back in performance mode (8800). And I wa but the clocks still read zero. I hope this GPU isn't toast.

Trying a system restore and will report back.

oh crysis hates the 8800GTX and alienware 15x. I am really interested to see what results I get tomorrow when my machine arrives.

    all high except shadows/shaders

My desktop can just barely handle Crysis. lol.

    QX6850 OC to 3.6 Ghz
    4 Gigs Dominator Ram 1066
    Vista X64/86 and XP
    Asus Striker Extreme
    Asus 8800 GTX in SLI
    Raptors in RAID 1
    Dell 2407 24" 1920 x 1200 display.

It's take alot to handle this game. And the game performance gets worst as you get further into the game.

And a system restore worked, my clocks are showing and my FPS are back up.

with the other benchmarks where people used higher res and higher graphics the m15x should have no problem handling it at that specs. I think it would be even more improved if you use dx9 too.

Dude..... It doesn't matter if a computer can handle a game or not... The game shouldn't Fry your video card period. The system should have been tested and SUFFICIENT cooling should have been placed into the machine. If his video card is toast i'm honestly not going to be buying an m15x any time soon. Maybe next year when they fix all the defects.

Ok read my secod post.. The gpu came back to normal after a system restore. I don't know what whent wrong and don't even want to speculate.

This system can handle the heat quite well. With a laptop cooler my system stays cooler then my m1710. I have zalman ZM-NC 1000, but to be honest I should have gotten the 2000 model. And my Cheaper antec cooler that sucks air from the back and pushes air under the system actually works alot better.

I am sure you will enjoy the hell out of this system. And it is extremely portable.
