I see that it is kind of possible to buy a 8800M GTX card alone in the Sagar fourms. Will the 9800M GTX be possible to buy alone and will it work with the m15x? And would the 10 to 15% increase in proformance be worth it? If anyone has this info, post away.....Thanks

cannot confirm something that is not available to test. :)

Only the Clevo M860TU (upcoming 15.4" high-end notebook) has confirmed full support for the 9800M GTS and GTX.

That's right. The m15x is in a good position to support the card, but until it's out we can't know for sure.

Also, if you already own the 8800, then it isn't worth the upgrade, because you have to pay a full replacement cost. The upgrade is worth it when buying a new computer, because it only 'costs' you $150 to do so. To replace a standalone 8800 will cost you full price ($500/600ish) since you have to throw out the old 8800 with nothing in return.

thats totally right, you'll have to pay for lets say 5% performance (when nvidia says 10-15% then its 5-7% :p) anyways paying all that money over your computer is really insane, you could've built 3 killer desktops by then
