So there is a lot of really bad CS experiences with Alienware and since I only have one... thought I would share. Like a lot of other people, my laptop got a crack on the back of the screen in the chassis. Though mine wasn't -as- bad as some... I wanted my m15x to be perfect so I called them up and they told me to go ahead and send it in.

I sent it in the 5th of December (just after the project I was using it for was finished) and called last Friday for a check on how it was going and all. Tech support said that it was there and they were looking into the issue and would probal send it out between Wednesday and Friday of this week.

Well, to my surprise I got my laptop in the mail this morning, the 16th o.o The screen is completely fixed and there is absolutely so creaking when opening the lid.

Just thought I would share :)

That's good. My M1530 didn't have cracks in the screen when I bought it.

Don't you love it when that happens, although my crazy mind starts thinking because of this good fourtune I will not match all 6 numbers in the powerball lotto... ;)

Glad it worked out in your favor! :)

Uhhh mine didn't have it when I bought it either. I would have sent it back when I bought it if it had.

I discovered the crack in early November but since I was using it for two separate projects, couldn't send it in until December.

And as I have noticed... it has become a big deal that the m15x has had cracks in it... but I also had a Toshiba with a lot worse problems (and terrible CS) and a macbookpro which got gaps in the USB and Ethernet ports... and the AC adapter set on fire for some people.

    My problem was minor.

Hi Pokefluffy! Where did you have to send your laptop to get it repaired? I am just curious. Thanks! :D

Those results look great. 11 days is not a bad wait at all, if they fixed everything, IMO.

Y'know, I just have to comment....

Since when do we consider an 11-day turnaround time, when we're supposed to have onsite support, good? It's... just... I'm just speechless.

Compared to all the other stuff I've heard? Waiting for a month and still having problems? 11 days with no problems, is good.

It goes to Texas for tech support.

I bet if there WAS onsite tech support... it'd be like getting a cable guy to your house. Quicker just to send it in. lol
