    Howdy folks,

I've ordered my M17x and the expected delivery is November 10th. I'm going to be using the laptop for gaming/home, school, and work. I intend to have a couple of different profiles to log into so that my co-workers who look at my PC will not see blatant p0rn backgrounds, games or anything. :)

I have a couple of questions...

    1) Can anyone recommend a good docking station for the M17x? I need something for work for my external monitor, keyboard and mouse.

    2) I want to be able to not have the light system and all that running in my work profile. Can I disable it for one log in and have it work fully for others?

    3) Is there a good way for my to isolate the profiles so that a person logged into the work profile (it has admin rights) will not generally be able to go into the folders for the other profiles? I basically want a firewall between everything. I'll be using Windows 7 Pro.

Thank you all for any suggestions you can give me

Am I understanding you in that each user cannot have a separate lighting profile?

yeah because everytime you turn the laptop back on, it automatically uses the last setting applied. Even when logging in and out, changing between users while it is still on... it will use the lighting setting that was used from the previous user's session.

If i were that concerned i would just setup another OS partition for Work.. Win7 takes up very little space if your using that OS.. At that point it will also change to your work color profile..

Is just simply turn off the lighting really that hard?

I think I'll probably just end up disabling it entirely. It's unfortunate that you cannot have different color profiles...it doesn't seem like an unusual request.

Yeah that's pretty weird. It really doesn't seem unreasonable.

^^ That's a lot better. It would be the most stupid thing if we cannot turn the light off.
