Was wondering if there is a way to switch GPU's besides using FN-F6. I hear about switching from the system tray icon, I have an issue. If I click on the "show hidden icons" up arrow, then click the icon, it shows a window behind the system tray window like the image below. I can't bring it to the front to even see if it is useful.:

Also, Dell DataSafe Backup always starts at bootup. I realize it's called service "Toaster.exe" but it doesn't show up in msconfig and I can't find how it's started in the registry anywhere either.
I really don't need this loaded all the time. I've made my backups, and can always start it manually in the future if I need it (as long as I know where it's at).
Thanks.

Take the Graphics mode switching icon out of the hidden menu. Then you can click it. It doesn't do much though, all you can click is this link which opens some help file with beginner instructions. In short -- I didn't find any other way to switch. But I wasn't really looking for it either.
Fn+F6 works fine for me.
I don't know about Dell Backup; the first thing I did with this laptop is uninstall it as soon as I entered Windows.(I'm using Acronis TrueImage).

With stock drivers Fn F6 is the only way. It's supposed to work like the icon to change power plans, but Dell did something to it. The Dox 195.62 show the icon how it should be, but they also keep the discrete card on at all times. So Fn F6 is all you get.
I also got rid of the Dell backup software and just do my backups manually through Linux. -
So wonder when Dell/AW will update the drivers?

Damn! It always bothers me that the community can release improved drivers a whole lot quicker than the OEM's.
That being said, Optimus drivers won't work with this though will it? -
Edit: This thread is cool.
