    I want to know whats the best way to game ( performance wise )
    What does V-Sync do and does it make games run better if its turned on?

    I was gaming on farcry for about 20 min and i checked my temp and it was only 58C...i dont get it... the game wasnt even running smoothly can it be because i have vuze on?

    v sync keeps your FPS under 60
    and no it doesn't o anything other then that

    your proably in stealth mode ...

    Actually, VSync lowers the framerate so that full frames are rendered every time. This eliminates tearing on the screen, where half the picture is from one frame, and the other half is from the next frame.

    I need to test this out because I do notice "tearing" in the screen sometimes and it kinda pisses me off lol.

    Ahh yeah damn good info. I was wondering why my fps in WoW never really popped over 60. Probably cuz i got vsynch on?

    Yeah, I think this is more for laptops? because I remember on my desktop I would get high fps and there was no tearing.

    And on my mac I run the same games and only get 60fps as max.

    no all GPU's tear because its the game that tears not the GPU ;)

    Wait, so(man I cant even think of how to explain this so its going to sound dumb) ok, tearing is where the screen is cut in two and sometimes it doesnt catch up with the top half so the bottom half is a milisecond behind or less, but you can bearly tell? Im just wondering, because it happens a lot on my notebook, but it never happened on my desktop with 9800gt.

    You can only notice it if you move the mouse really fast in one direction(in a game of course)

    Is that what tearing is?
