ouch $4000 dollars later...eek
interesting gpu options tho -
Omg. *drool*
Edit: Only the 280 in SLI available which hikes the price right up. A quad from AW still seems too expensive for my liking. The Blu-Ray read drive is decently priced at $150, though. -
-
Sweet! If those prices are true then I can get the config I want for about $3200! Thats a good bit less than I thought it would be. Looks like this is my next Alienware!
-
Wow. $2848 with GTX 280 SLI option and the Q9000? Can't wait to see the pages for lower cost options...this is going to be very nice.
-
I like the option to order with WoW pre-installed, at no extra cost.

End of August, this will be mine!!! -
Edit: No Blu-ray RW option still. Also, anyone got a UK link? -
will those 280's sli fit in an M17?
That seems to be the only "All Powerful" factor.
I don't know why but I was really expecting a
default 1333 fsb. -
It seems cheaper than the previous m17x
-
Spoke with an AW rep through chat. Orders that are being placed now are being canceled and the link is due to be taken down until the official release.
-
Are those prices to be the actual upgrade prices? To start with an extra 1k on the price you get..1920 reso, a Q9000, dual 280GTX SLI, raid 0 320 gig hard drive...Thats actually better than i expected. I wonder if that will be the actual price of those upgrades. I doubt it, maybe higher.
-
cant wait for the review...
-
OK, so a practical question, which processor do you all think is the best "real world" solution, not going to choke on big PhotoShop files, Flash timelines or InDesign Layouts (the gaming thing is probably a secondary) I'd love to have one of the Quad Cores, but I am not sure the ROI is worth it?
-
Simple, take the stock CPU and ebay a QX9300. You get the best of both worlds, cheap and fast.
If you don't want to do that, then choose the Q9000. -
Those prices were legit it just seems the site got leaked too early. Quadzilla received the Dell catalog that gave the same prices/base configs
I'm surprised how close in pricing they've got the Q9100 and QX9300 though. For $100 extra I'd get the Extreme proc. -
so whos buying it? is this a legit thing or has dell screwed up
-
any idea what brand/type of SSD they are using?
-
I will buy one tomorrow when they go on sale officially. Placing an order now is just going to get canceled.
-
So does this mean that it will have a DELL warranty and be transferable ??? That would be excellent if it does transfer. God Bless
-
Man...they better add a cheaper option in the video card department.
-
-
-
will the graphic cards be mxm standard or dell ones?
-
I think I'll be selling my MBP soon to get one of these bad boys
-
A little early, yet sooo tempting!
