Hey, its me, i decided after a month or so of having this beast ( Alienware m15x ) i'd give a little update on how im doing.

Nothing is wrong with it yet apart from the things mentioned in my review.
I keep stealth mode on when not playing games that demand it so this may help me in keeping the problems at bay.

I ran 3dmark06 again today and still, im averaging above 10,000 with everything turned on ( Messengers, firewalls, anti-viruses ) So, no trickery there.

Earlier today i decided to play some more Crysis at max and 1920x1080i rezolution on my 47" television ( with no jaggies might i add, and will get a video of it up soon ^^ ) and i measured the temperatures, GPU were at around 85c, both CPU's were at around 55-62 which didn't seem to bad, i didn't play it much though, Crysis just doesn't tickle my fancy.

Thanks for reading - Take care

I was just wondering, when i play Assassin's Creed the temperature spikes at 88 degrees, then fans go on max and it goes down to maybe 80 degrees or something. Feel a little concerned as this cycle happens maybe every 15 minutes of gameplay because at 80 degrees fans spin down and then temp rises again to 88 and it all repeats.

Is this the same for you and all other m15x owners aswell, or is it something to be worried about?

Great to hear an update that all is well!

that's pretty much normal from what i've heard around here. the fans are triggered at a certain temp (88 degrees) and then keep spinning full throttle until your GPU is sufficiently cooled, and then it slows down... the GPU heats up again, so the fan spins up again. lather, rinse, repeat.
