It has officially been 23 days since i sent in my m15x for a refund. apparently, so many systems were being sent in that they just approved the credit transfer today. two problems....

    1. my card was stolen and it had to be canceled (not alienware's fault)

    2. they were 50 dollars short of my refund!!!!!

Is basic math that hard to expect from an accounting team giving me my refund???? My purchase was for 2156, so with the almost illegal and purposely vague restocking fee applied (15%) it should come out to 1832.6 right????

well for anyone who can do math, yes, it comes out to 1832.6, BUT NOT TO ALIENWARE. They were 50 bucks short, which to some is nothing, but to people who have less then 4k in the bank, no equity, and don't work during the school year, this is a good sum of money. I already had my bank and alienware take a total of 500 bucks that i earned this summer for no good reason, I DON'T need another 50 down the drain.

This is yet one more reason to never buy an alienware, if you don't like it, you get your money stolen by a restock fee (which i am still checking on the legality of it) and by their horrible math skills.

    ***?!?!?!?!?

If I won the lottery, I'd be paying ppl not to get it, just as a principle to stand up against co-operations that suck ppl money as well as brains it seems, why the... are ppl still getting it, sorry mate- I feel sorry for you loss, but I see it as a learning curve, you don't do this mistake again.

Do they refund the shipping too? Maybe that was what the $50 was left out for. At any rate, contact one of the Alienware reps on the forum if there's still an issue. They are all quite helpful.

Have you contacted AW yet and asked about the $50? Could be that you, or AW, has overlooked something simple and an honest mistake was made.

The following link is pretty clear about AW's 15% restocking fee policy:

I asked them about the 50 bucks and they didn't give me an answer yet. they covered shipping but i was told that was free. They just don't seem to be able to do math.

And their policy on the restock fee is very iffy, call in and ask a rep, you will be surprised.
