Does anyone know if it is possibe to order a new M18 through AAFES and also receive the 5% Dell gift card back through Dell Advantage?

AAFES offers about a $200 member discount on a fully loaded M18 and if you use the military Star credit card no interest/payments till 02/15.

    Thanks.

I don't see an option anywhere to add the dell advantage to it. You can call them and haggle them down to the price of your build on the aafes site and they'll add the dell advantage to it. Be prepared to really haggle though. I spent about 10 hours on the phone with them over three days and they couldn't come close to the aafes price.
Through dell you'll have to pay tax and they'll only give you a 2% military discount, the 5% dell advantage gift card, and try to rope you into the dell preferred credit card with no interest for a year. The aafes site is 5% military discount and no tax.
I'd prefer the money in my pocket over a 5% gift card you have to use at dell. Plus not paying tax is a big discount. The only reason I ordered over the phone is because the aafes website has an error when you try to order the 3D display on the 17. I got within $50 of the aafes price over the phone.

Shipping might be another consideration. I don't know how it's shipped through aafes. Through dell it'll be 2nd business day shipping and you can actually see your order status online.
    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I going to have to call aafes as right now you it won't let you order a M18 with windows 8 pro, you get a compatibilty error with additional softwarer and you can not deselect or change the additional software. . But yes, saving 8.6% sales tax on a $4,500 laptop is a big savings.

Good luck with that call. I tried to have them fix the display error issue for the 17 for three weeks. Everyone I got a hold of at Dell told me its not their area because it's the premier config site and told me they'd submit a ticket.
I'd recommend just building what you want and using that price (including tax) as a target for your negotiations. Might get frustrating and require a couple of calls. It helped when I asked to speak with supervisor.

Also go on the regular site and build it. See what discounts it applies and there is a link in the cart for additional coupon codes.

You can also try contacting the DELL sales representatives via chat and ask them :)
