    AC Adapter stopped working

    Well i was playing Aion and suddenly pc went into battery mode so i checked if it was plugged in right. Then i realized it was and the light around the outlet of the ac adapter [ Blue light ] wasn't on.

    Double checked everything tried plugging it in some place else but nothing.
    Any of you guys had this problem with the ac adapter?

    does the normal warranty cover this?

    EDIT: forgot to mention its the new M17x

    Mine did the same crap. Had to unplug it from the wall for a minute then it would work again.

    Just call Dell and have them send you a new one ;)

    Yea i already called them, they said they will send me a new one but i forgot to ask if i have to return this one back. Cause i'm not in the US atm. I'm starting school in january so i'm on "vacation" in Aruba till then :)

    You'll need to return the adapter in the same box that the new one comes in. You may have to call and let them know that you'll need extra time to return it.

    Ha, mine went bad just under a month. And I am in Iraq. Good news was Dell was quick to send my old man a replacement, and it only too 3 weeks for the replacement to get here. As a precaution, I ordered three additional AC adapters to be sent here. Never again will my Allpowerful be powerless! :p

    Well i just finished calling Dell 10 min ago. Cause i havent heard anything since i last called them on the 28th. Apparently my replacement order got canceled by the system by mistake. Good thing i called or i would of never received a new AC adapter. Now they had to replace the order and i have to wait even longer ... sucks

    oh man that does suck! Well so far my replacement adapter has held up, so hopefully our situations were isolated cases....

    update on the situation Called on the 19th they told me it should get shipped by that friday which was the 23rd ... so i called the 23rd and they told me it hasn't been shipped yet cause the replacement order is on pending and they don't know why. this is unbelievable ... its been one month now without an ac adapter and these ppl can't find a way to send me a new one yet .. i'm pissed :(
