    you can see here.
feel happy for buyers because they offer free i7 upgrades for m11x, this is what i see most promising among other promotions
other promotions are also available, these offers can cut your prices for about $200++.
the best thing is you can still customize yourself, even with limitation :D

    thanks..
btw i figured out that they had a great m17x offer.
m17x with i7 620m, cfx 5870, RGB 1200p, 500GB HDD, and 4GB RAM for only $2299 which is $300 cut for the same configuration on normal price, but they didn't show what RAM are they using.
it clears me out that i can just buy an i7 940xm later for upgrade
above all im going to persuade my parents to accept this offer. :D

Wow, an i7 620m and crossfire 5870s, as well as an RGBLED screen, all for just $2300? That's an absolutely incredible offer. Anyone who's been considering an M17x, I'd pick this up before they stop offering it at this price.

Long gone are the days where Alienware were overpriced.

I seriously doubt that you could combine the two offers considering this deal is a golden opportunity. But if you could that would be beyond epic.

EPP does not apply according to the. Its a great deal, you can probably get it lower if you tried...(My friends have gotten better quotes for better systems for 2200ish)

(Try to to Dell, maybe they can.)

300 is nice but from the stories ive heard from other posters on this forums, def going to try and get more out of them. Im hoping my school has epp or somehow can get epp through my school to really drop the price.

Most colleges are part of the epp program. I think all state colleges for sure. Not sure about community colleges.

I've got a 17% coupon that works with this current sale. I'm holding on to that coupon for when I need another system though.

How is the 620 for gaming? It looks like it might be better than the 4 core i720? Just wondering if the CPU will bottleneck the 5870s...I may jump on this deal. Are there any other coupons to stack or can you EPP it?

I couldn't find the list on the Canada sight either. Usually It is right on the page that is linked on the page i gave. Scroll down and there will be 2 pictures side by side and click the link that says shop now under one of the pics. After that you should get a list of schools, but it doesn't show up, it just shows the page you get after you would selected your school. Maybe all Canadian colleges are included. Anyway if you check out it will require a student Id to get the discount. I guess you might have to call dell and figure it out. Sorry if this info doesn't help much.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but if you customize the M11x straight from dell's website and add the i7, it's the EXACT SAME PRICE as the "back to school special"

I partially retract my earlier statement. it seems that the back to school special includes an "upgrade" to 4 gig from 2 gig standard [$50] and an upgrade to a 320gb HDD from 160 gig [$75]

So it seems there are about $150 in discounts [though the add says $194, i couldn't find the other $44]

I can see how it confused me though. . . 4 gig and at LEAST 320gig HDD are standard on about 95% of machines these days. . who would've thought dell's premier gaming line would consider 2 gig and a 160 gig 5400 rpm as standard equipment? ;)

    Sorry about that.

The M17x was starting at $1799 before the promo, now they start at $1999 with the $300 off. Sounds like the old switcha-ru marketing. :(

You can go to dell.com/dellu to view the base EPP discount for students.

I had a rep tell me the same thing, but it's not true.

I have no experience with ordering as a student in Canada, but try to check it out on the website just to make sure you're eligible for the base 10% discount as well. I think it'd be really strange if you didn't qualify, but then there is a different return period for Canada also so it could be possible. (But even with the rep saying no, you may still qualify, so check the site to see if you can find something.)
