One of them could be that new curved display they were coming out with, would certainly be well released with a desktop.

The last alien head to the right is VERY new different to past/previous alien heads.
Notice that it begins to take shape around the corner of the eyes.
Are they evolving? Oh my gosh!

Same as moo,I think the mid alienhead would be the m15x while the left is the desktop. I don't know of the rightmost though.

I'd think the third head is just the M17x, perhaps with some new videocard or CPU options for launch.

 

Well I know there is 2 different desktops, one will be a large full blown system with mechanical opening vents on top for extra air when the system gets hot, the other will be a lower cost version without all those details.

With Clevo and HP talking about the i7 release it's becoming more obvious that the M15x will more than likely be mobile i7. Not much of a secret.

The question is which notebook do I get rid of...

 

This part still makes me think they are going to stick with the old CPUs.

 

Won't be as important running one GPU.

 

The battery life will still get Nailed compared to say a 9400m.

So if anyone reads the Sager forum you obviously saw that Eurocom released the 4870 DDR3 option today for the W8 which made me kind of facepalm, how difficult can it be to focus your supply problems on making EVEN the 4850 DDR5's. ATI had the perfect chance to reclaim itself as king with these big new laptop releases and once again to no avail...I swear it's like ATI and NVIDIA are in collusion with eachother to let their competition be almost too equal, laptop world wise anyway. Heres to hoping they got some DDR5's or the new 5k series planned with the M15x release, doubt it though.

 

sorry there is not going to be mobile 4870 with gdrr3... there will be 5870 gddr3 though

 

Go look at the Asus W90.

 

I think its best ATI focus on the 5870 myself . The 4870 DDR5 mobile version would have been amazing but id rather have a DX11 part in my next rig .

 

ahhh well im just waiting on the 5870 hd radeon now...

It would be good news for people that want the i7 if there's another countdown. The longer they take to release the new machines the more likely it'll be.

 

Mobility 4870 has been a complete let down that I don't think notebook card makers can get away with again since the 5000 series will have 4 cards using GDDR5. 5750, 5770, 5850, and 5870.


But we're still seeing new notebooks coming out with 4000 series cards (e.g. HP Envy) so it's not totally over for that generation yet.

 

I think it is funny (and I did call it) that "landfall" went to another page and we have to wait - again!
