Get em while their hot! Sorry I took a little longer then I previously stated everyone. I got cought up in a game design document I'm writing for school.

Anyway, I MobModded the 32bit and 64bit Vista ATi CCC 9.4 drivers. I currently have the 32bit 9.4's installed on my M17 with no issues at all! Hopefully these work for everyone! Keep in mind these don't have the fancy performance mods E-Wrecked included in his 9.1's but I have found performance to be improved over his 9.1's. Perhaps E-Wrecked, if you get some spare time, would you mind looking over these and see if you could do anything with them? There also isnt any scaling mods, although while running in 1440x900 I haven't experienced any issues what so ever.

Performance increase over E-Wrecked 9.1's... I saw Far Cry 2 take a huge leap forward completely maxed out in DX10 mode! Other games, I have yet to try since I have a super busy schedule as it is. Please provide feedback, did you notice a difference to? In what games?

    Now onto the good stuff...

Windows Vista 32bit Mob Modded ATi CCC 9.4's

Windows Vista 64bit Mob Modded ATi CCC 9.4's

The files are in .RAR files and weigh in at 48.2MB and 64.4MB respectively. Just run "Setup.exe" as usual, preferably over a clean install.

For instructions on how to perform a clean install, I'll refer you to E-Wreckeds fantastic instructions found here...

Hopefully these work as well for everyone as they've been working for me! :D

I'm not trying to compete with E-Wrecked in any way! I just want everyone to have the latest drivers. I know he could do a better job with these then I can though ;) So please nothing personal! And I'd like to thank E-Wrecked for providing us all with quality drivers to use!

One last thing, I'm almost certain these will work on ANY laptop with ATi graphics cards but I'm using an M17.

    Thats it for now!

UPDATE: Sky7 was kind enough to mod the drivers for the 64Bit version of Windows 7. The drivers can be downloaded here. Thanks a million!

UPDATE 2: As requested Here are the Windows XP 32 Bit ATi CCC 9.4's, mobmodded for your enjoyment! Keepin mind these do not include any scaling fixes so if you use the higher res (not 1440x900) I'm really sorry!

That's impressive don.. That's about what johns gtxs were posting. When OCd I think they were at 64. But stock I believe they are about the same. Maybe even a lil less.

Look forward to your 3.2 run Halo :)

yeah i cant beat john's or yours Lol. but my cpu was at 3.2 and my gpu's are stock. i wish i could overclock but 8.10 doesnt use crossfire well in this game. i had mid 20s with those drivers.

i cant past 3.2ghz. at 3.33ghz i bluescreen after about one minute in a game so i am stuck at 3.2ghz for now.

So we know Far Cry 2 runs a lot better, I wonder what other games have improved performance. I recall other users mentioning issues with UT3. I play it maxed out with little to no issues, just the occassional slow down or stutter. I'll give it try this weekend and see if it's improved any.

Anyone else experience a boost in any other games?

just downloading them now, thanks for the effort Tkresila. Not up on the whole benching stuff (to be honest cant be arsed, prefer to just play) so any opinion i may put forward on the performance will be based on whether i can tell a difference in COD4, Crysis and Bioshock that i am currently playing.

    cheers now

Yea, Sorry about the lack of a scale fix everyone! Like I said, these are only the stock ATi Drivers modded for our mobile cards. If E-Wrecked could share how he mods the drivers to fix the scaling issue that would help. Also something else I'd like to address, I saw a boost when from E-Wrecked's 9.1's for Vista 32Bit, those using anything in between or running Vista 64 bit, I have no idea how well they'll work as I can't test them myself.

Anyone having any issues, I'd recommend you follow the clean install precedure written by E-Wrecked. Hopefully will clear some things up for people.

No problem! I know sometimes older drivers work better in some cases but I know if anyone here is like me, I have to have to the newest drivers, it's a compulsive thing :)

Sorry if I put this in the wrong section. I tried to make it clear who these drivers applied to. Although I didn't remove support for any other chipset so these technically could work for anyone running a mobile ATi card.

    Yes, I did it myself.

No, it's only for Vista x64. For W7 try this one:

    http://depositfiles.com/files/jknqrkcwv

    This driver works without scaling issue for 1920x1200, 1680x1050, 1440x900, 1280x800, 720x480.

    A few updates...

    1) These should work on anything with a mobile ATi card in it.

    2) I've been requested to upload XP 32 Bit Drivers so I'll have them up in about an hour or two, just in case anyone else wants them.

    3) Thank you Sky7! So if anyone is running W7 please use his W7 64Bit drivers!

Anyone else tested Sky7's drivers (the vista ones) to see if they scale on lets say, 1680x1050 ?

If yes then can anyone (Sky7 ? :p) do another mod for the 32bit ones ? :)

I used Sky's drivers (Vista 64bit)...the scaling is fine, I think I tried every resolution in COD4 and it scaled properly...I didn't see any measurable gain in 3dmark06 though...

nah 3dmark scores rarely change much. Im still using 8.12 and as i recall i could see a huge difference with 9.1 in a few games (they were more smooth with less stuttering) so hopefully the same will be with 9.4. If Sky7 can mod them for 32 bit that is, hopefully :p

And since sky already modded the 64bit ones shouldnt be that hard to do the 32bit ones too :)

    Thanks for everything Sky7.

W7 drivers work perfectly, but we still have this resolutions scale issue.
I couldn't try the resolutions you noticed as it is not availlaible to me.
    How do you add new resolutions for W7 (ex: 1920x1200, 1680x1050, 1440x900, 1280x800, 720x480.)?

I didn't add new resolutions, I only added properties for full screen, but in W7 it works how preserve aspect ratio (I don't know why) so only this resolutions work without scaling issue in W7.

Weird. I tried installing the mobmodded vista 64 drivers after a clean uninstall, and, the first time, when I tried to click express or custom install, the screen kept flickering to no end, changing between resolutions with black screens between them. The only fix, since it kept resetting the mouse position to dead center was to log out of vista and shut it down.

I restarted, re-tried to install the drivers, this time, instead of click custom or express with my mouse, I used tab and the spacebar to select custom and go through the install. Mid-way through the install, the flickering problems came back, it continued through the install even with that, and I think it installed everything, then it restarted vista. I restarted, and now I know that my display is greyed out. Firefox, my icons, my taskbar are all much much darker/greyer than they should be.

What is the deal here? Anyone else experience this or have some tips?

Open CCC and go to Color Properties... Or something of the like. There should be a button to Re-activate color control properties... My wording is likely off, but you should find it easily.

E-wrecked, after restarting again, the coloration seemed ok. Though, what about that crazy non-stop screen flickering during installation? I haven't read anything similar happening to any other users... any ideas? Should I uninstall the drivers again and re-install?

when will we get support from software to overclock our gpu's without going back to 8.10 or earlier drivers? im sick of seeing mobile nvidia cards overclocking all the time and how we are stuck with no overclocking if we chose to update to the lastest drivers....anyone else a little p***** about this?
