Remember there is a monthly fee, that goes with the game should you choose to want to play. You can buy the game and run around in the "social districts" where you can customize your character and chat.

A good alternative to the game, that I would recommend is Global Agenda. It recently got lots of content, that has elevated it to something better. It's monthly fee is also optional!

 

I played it for a bit for about a month now. Last time I checked there was an annoying bug with lagging cars.

It looks OK, the customization is amazing but the missions are very boring. It's supposed to be strictly PvP game anyway.

Ditto, I'm all about pvp so this game just got better.

 

gonna give it a try. not a big fan of mmo's that are instanced out the butt like STO.

 

It has potential, but they need to balance weapons badly, the districts feel a little small after a while, and the driving feels very delayed (at least last time i played).

It's basically Ntec-5 for guns or you're dead.

Otherwise the game is pretty fun. Missions are really boring but what makes them exciting is the fact that during a mission your opposition isn't NPC's but OTHER players. Depending on who you're fighting the mission can be very unique or very... bleh. lol

 

Tried to play it for 5 min ago but it said the servers are down or something :S

 

they will not open until tomorrow at 5 am.

 

Well I plan to try the game soon. Hope I can get a good internet connection to download it.

 

I logged in this morning and played around a bit, did the first 2 missions, but I dont wanna talk about gameplay. Apparently the game doesnt have support for SLI, couse one card is idle during gameplay and the card that does work seems to heatup like hell. Never had the lappie so hot. I cant even keep my hand on the grill in the back.

Anybody else that plays with sli config?

I've been downloading the damn game for the past 2 days... By the time it finishes, I'll be back at work tomorrow morning unless. Why the hell didn't they put this crap on Steam rather than stressing their own servers? I get like 1.5-2mb/s with steam. 40kb/s with the APB downloader... I was hoping when I bought it on Steam it'd let me get my updates from them.

 

lol I actually stopped downloading it because of this. I wont be wasting my time with a game that takes 7 days to download.

 

It says "Create a North American APB account with your key"

Does that mean I need to use a proxy?

 

You need to go to alienwarearena homepage, find the apb give away and then select from there the EU key section

 

I got it downloaded and installed... Every time I tried to launch the game, I got a message stating Physx wasn't available and would the game would stop loading. I have the software installed, but the game wouldn't see it. Sooo....I uninstalled it. Almost 8 gig...
