After applying update, power button status light no longer stays on during sleep mode. Edit: Fixed by recycling power after an uninstall. Then I reinstalled and everything is fine.

Do you think they will release 3.5 for the 18X R2?

Probably not. It's an end of life product and most OEMs stop supporting software updates for products they no longer offer. They might in the case that something is broken or malfunctioning, but the M18xR2 does not actually need an update at this point. The available version works just fine, so there is no incentive for them to provide an update.

Hy guys! By me the right click option on the Command center won't work. Ther could be an easy solution to bring back the light on my Alienware 17. So i have to disable the dim option and there could be ok, but when i click on the tray to the alien CC icon with the right click nothing is happening. Can you help me with this?

I have been struggling with the Command Center since I purchased Alienware almost 4 years ago. I have the older Command Center (for Windows 7) running on Windows 8.1 but can't create a new advanced theme. See attached for a picture of the error message. It does run my advanced themes created in the Windows 7 environment, but I can't create a new advanced theme or modify the one created in Windows 7.

That isn't my biggest issue though. If you run an advanced theme the system with hang for 30 seconds coming out of sleep - It becomes "non responsive." It is due to Internet Explorer. When I upgraded from Internet Explorer 8 (I think as it was a long time ago) to 9, I started to get that 30 second hang coming out of sleep. I am now running Internet Explorer 11 and still the hang. And the OS doesn't matter, It hung in Windows 7, and still hangs in 8 and 8.1. If you run a basic theme it won't hang coming out of sleep - only an advanced theme. It is very frustrating to look at that 30 second hang e-v-e-r-y time you come out of sleep... and I really do not want to change my browser.

I was hoping upgrading to a newer version of Command Center would address these 2 issues, especially the hang issue. I tried installing the most current version of Command Center for Windows 8 but was unable to install it - it said my system was not compatible. Has anybody with an M17X R2 been able to run the Windows 8 Command Center?
