Thinking about buying the 3yr/3yr after the fact. As I understand it, I have 2 months before the initial warranty expires to do this... can you haggle on the price of these warranties or are they set in stone? Any advice/comments would be much appreciated.

Your computer is still in production, so I assume you can still extend the warranty for the same price as the website offers. If not, you can negotiate, but it depends on the representative. You just have to call and see.

Trying calling in to negotiate. If you ordered over the phone, you could try contacting the rep who sold you the laptop. Since you just recently ordered it, you should hopefully be able to extend it for (at least) the price on the website. Given that your 30 day return window hasn't even started, they are likely to work with you. The cost to extend the warranty after purchase is much higher than doing it now.

Yeah, I hope so too, but in the past, its been very handy... infact, this is the first time I've had to buy a laptop since 2006 thanks to said extended warranties... HIGHLY recommend getting them.

In my country Malaysia, Dell only allow us to extend the standard warranty which is the so called "Next Business Day response" after system purchase while not for the "COMPLETECOVER COVERAGE PROGRAMME" which i believe is the Accidental Care :(

That is true for the US as well. His machine was still in production so he was still able to change it.

Actually, they wouldn't let me. I canceled the original order, then re-ordered with a US sales rep for a bigger discount and the SSD boot which I didn't order initially. They say if you buy warranty after the fact, its way more expensive... I'd rather not take the 'haggle' chance and went with the 'better safe than sorry' approach ;)

Normal warranty you sure can after the fact and it is more expensive. But complete care you can't buy it after the fact. At all. But glad you got the discounts.

I extended both near the end of my warranty. Both standard and complete care.
