If I purchase the 250GB HDD, would I be able to easily insert a smaller SSD (For windows) along with the HDD without much problems? What sort of things would I need, beside a good SSD to be able to do this (cables, drivers, respawn dvd ect)?

    Has anyone done this yet?

I am going to do the same.

I ordered a Corsair X32 SSD for my OS and am going to use the 250GB drive for apps/games/etc.

The only thing you'll need will be the 2nd HDD caddy. You'll probably have to call to get it because it seems they aren't sending them with one if you didn't order raid.

So you purchased your SSD, and straight from the box you simply plugged it in?
Did you use AW's respawn dvd to install vista? What about drivers for the SSD?

It would be awesome if someone *cough* Moo *cough* could make a tutorial for this.

    Thanks!

You can use acronis to clone the drive over or just install vista from the OS cd that comes with the computer and then install the drivers yourself..

    Whichever you prefer.

I always use the Acronis® True Image Home...

Btw you can download the eval.. do the mirror copy to try it out for free...
Its fully functional for approx 10-15 days

I did that on one notebook as I didnt have a key for it and only needed it to mirror the drive..

You install the SSD just like any other hard disk.

It's really easy. Just have to reinstall the os, drivers, and any apps....

This is a handy toy to have for hard drive upgrades and transfers. Hook up the new hard drive, boot with the included CD and voila! It will clone and transfer all the data from your old hard drive to your new one. Plus if you buy it now they have a 10 dollar rebate.
