    Hi Everyone,

I was hoping for some advice here. I ordered an M17x which I am typing away on at the moment. I have to admit it's great so far but I would really like to give this a thorough test to decide if I keep it. I have updated almost all of the drivers with the latest except for the display drivers (still to do).

Can someone please advice on what I should be testing. Some of the items I have are:

    1. Vantage. Coming up with a COM surrogate error although on another thread it may be due to Nero - have yet to uninstall Nero to try.
    2. Overclocking ability of CPU. Will probably up the multiplier and check for stability.
    3. CPU/GPU Temperatures. Will need to get a program to monitor this.
    4. Test all the buttons and ports.

On a separate note, I have also noticed a dead pixel so I am wondering if it passes all the tests and is able to overclock should I live with the pixel or send it back and wait a couple of months.

    Any advice/help is appreciated. Thanks.

use the bios to overclock but just be careful. use real temp to monitor the cpu and gpu.
